Major Item

We have a very ambitious vision for our non-profit. We see our non-profit transforming victims of abuse in a holistic approach by empowering domestic violence survivors in Southern Arizona.

Several volunteers have come from abusive relationships and know what is needed. Our goal is to provide everything women and their families need to become successful in their new lives without control and abuse. To fully commit to that goal, we hope to find successful people who want to pay their good fortune forward and help HM3 Advocate Inc. financially and consistently. Of course, we also need the support of those who can only give once in a while.

We would like this to be a city-wide effort that could eventually be used as a model for other cities.

Our major issue is that we do not have a building to start pulling our plans together. The building we believe would serve most of our needs is a school that is no longer used by the district.

The school could provide shelter for each family if we used the classrooms. The cafeteria would provide a place for the women to make their meals. The office area would be our office area. We would like to provide childcare. One of the classrooms could be remodeled into that area, and we could also provide childcare services to other moms or dads to help support the funding for the non-profit.

We have had hair stylists offer haircuts and other services for the moms and children.

We are also in contact with someone who knows female officers from the Police Department who might be willing to live on the property for protection.

The rooms would allow us to offer many services that the women and children need, and they will be right on the property. Our goal is to be a one-stop agency for everything the women will require to move ahead successfully.

We are hoping that you will want to become a part of this mission.
